Hoya aff. lambii sp. Sanggau is a rare Bornean Hoya whose features are affine (similar/related) to Hoya lambii, collected from the Sanggau area of West Kalimantan, Borneo. It is prized for its large, elongated leaves with distinct dark venation that contrasts beautifully with the lighter green leaf surface.

The leaves are typically thick, leathery, and prominently veined, creating an etched, textured look that stays decorative even when the plant is not in bloom. Growth is climbing, making it perfect for poles, slabs, or trellises, where the foliage can fully expand and show its best form.

When mature, Hoya aff. lambii sp. Sanggau may produce clusters of star-shaped flowers, but most collectors treasure this plant primarily for its ornamental foliage and clear locality identity. With warmth, humidity, bright filtered light, and an airy substrate, it grows steadily and develops impressive leaves.

Why collectors love this plant:

  • True Sanggau locality form from Borneo

  • Related to Hoya lambii (aff. lambii)
